Product Introduction
Petroleum coke (Petroleumcoke) is the product of crude oil after distillation to separate light and heavy oil, and then the heavy oil undergoes thermal cracking process. From the appearance point of view, the coke is irregularly shaped and black lumps (or particles) of different sizes, with metallic luster. Coke particles have a porous structure, the main elemental composition is carbon, occupying more than 80%, containing 1.5%-8% of hydrogen, and the rest are oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur and metal elements.

Application
1. Petroleum coke can be used in graphite, smelting and chemical industries depending on its quality.
2. Low-sulfur, high-quality cooked coke, such as needle coke, is mainly used to manufacture ultra-high-power graphite electrodes and certain special carbon products; needle coke is an important material for the development of new technologies for electric furnace steelmaking in the steelmaking industry.
3. Medium sulfur and ordinary cooked coke are widely used in aluminum smelting.
4. High sulfur and ordinary green coke are used in chemical production, such as the manufacture of calcium carbide, silicon carbide, etc., and also as a fuel for metal casting.
5. Most of the petroleum coke produced in China is low-sulfur coke, which is mainly used for aluminum smelting and graphite manufacturing. It is also mainly used for making carbon products, such as graphite electrodes and anode arcs, for steel making, non-ferrous metals, and aluminum making; making carbonized silicon products, such as various grinding wheels, sand skins, sand paper, etc.; for producing calcium carbide for supply make synthetic fiber, acetylene and other products; can also be used as fuel, but when used for fuel, it needs to use a graded impact mill for ultra-fine crushing. It can be burned after it is made into coke powder by equipment. They are mainly glass factories and coal-water slurry plants.
